Arthritis Foundation Honors Three Cohen Children’s Medical Center Nurses
Three pediatric rheumatology nurses at Cohen Children’s Medical Center will be honored by the Arthritis Foundation at its Commitment to a Cure Awards Reception to benefit arthritis research on Thursday, October 29, at Coindre Hall in Huntington. Eileen Pagano, RN, MS, CPNP; Patricia Lee, RN, BSN, CPN; and Marilynn Orlando, RN, MS, BC will be recognized for their work and dedication to caring for children who live with juvenile arthritis before more than 100 guests from business, health care and philanthropy.
Arthritis is a painful, degenerative disease that destroys joints, bones and connective tissues for 50 million Americans (one in five) including 300,000 children who live with juvenile arthritis.
“It is a privilege to be celebrating the work of our esteemed honorees who are champions for our mission,” said Jacqueline Duodu-Burbridge, Regional Director of the Arthritis Foundation, Long Island Chapter. “Their skills, devotion to their profession, and compassion for the children in their care have helped families living with juvenile arthritis make new strides every day.”
