Billie and George Ross Center for Advanced Pediatric Orthopaedics and Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery

The Center for Advanced Pediatric Orthopaedics and Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery at the Cohen’s Children's Medical Center treats disorders of bones, joints, ligaments, cartilage and spine in a growing child. These can be the result of an injury, for example, fractures, sprains etc or the result of growth, for example, scoliosis, kyphosis etc. They can be from an infection, or diseases like cerebral palsy, spina bifida and syndromes. Because a child's body is growing, these can lead to severe deformities and sometimes permanent disabilities. A child’s growing skeleton, physiology, and anatomy are much different from adults as is their psychology and infinite recovery potential if treated properly and with care. A pediatric orthopaedic surgeon is the best-trained and most experienced physician to treat a child with minor or major injuries, limb deformities, spine disorders or physical disabilities..

The pediatric orthopedic doctors at the Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Center at Cohen Children's Medical Center provide world-class medical care and support services to children and adolescents with conditions that include congenital deformity, trauma, scoliosis, bone and joint infection and cerebral palsy. When necessary, our pediatric orthopedics staff coordinates acute and long-term care for children with injuries, disabilities, and more complex medical needs.
