Leading the Way in Child Psychiatry
Our skilled mental health professionals provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adolescents whose problems range from mild behavioral difficulties to severe psychiatric illness.
Special programs and workshops are available to provide guidance to parents when they have questions about their child’s development. Our nationally-recognized eating disorder program has been designated as a Child and Adolescent Center by the State of New York, in collaboration with the programs at Columbia University Medical Center and The New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains.
The Child and Adolescent Ambulatory program at Zucker Hillside Hospital works closely with the Emergency Department at Long Island Jewish Hospital, as well as Cohen Children’s Medical Center, to provide outpatient mental health evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents and their families with a wide range of diagnoses.
The division has a nationally-renowned training program for mental health professionals, including; a residency program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, an internship program in Child Psychology and postdoctoral fellowships combining clinical and research training.
