Eating Disorders

The Eating Disorders Center (EDC) is a nationally recognized program for the treatment of adolescents and young adults with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Treatment addresses the bio-psychosocial needs of patients with eating disorders and is directed by an adolescent medicine specialist and a child and adolescent psychiatrist with additional staff consisting of physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and nutritionists.

The Eating Disorders Program at Cohen Children’s Medical Center has been designated as a New York State Comprehensive Center for Eating Disorders.  It is the only eating disorder program with inpatient, outpatient and day programs for adolescents in the New York Metropolitan area.
